Good & Bad about today

Good: Kalkriese/Hermannsdenkmal today!!!

Good: Had a lovely weekend. We had a "summer museum night", which meant museums and galleries were open till late late hours. And the entrance was free. We went to see a couple.
Good: In front of one of them a living history group was presenting the Celtic life. That included a soldier with such a short leather fetish skirt that I'm wondering if he's for real
Good: Than a Sunday trip to a valley not far by.
Good/bad: Temperatures rose drastically. It's fun for now but it will get too hot soon.

Bad: Thanks to thrombosis, the temperatures outside and my job which implies sitting all day, my other leg developed a vene-insufficientcy which means it doesn't pump the blood through there fast enough. THAT means I now have to go and buy another pair of elastic stockings for that leg, which will cost a load of money...AGAIN! Apparently Mr. Body thinks it's not enough that I ride my fucking bike all the time and do sports three or four times a week. I FUCKING hate it!!!

Sorry to hear about your health brother. Maybe this weekend will help your legs circulate a little better. If not, I can carry you around Leipzig and use your handicap to attract sympathetic Damen.

Good: Got to Hermannsdenkmal yesterday but the actual battlesite of Varusschlacht at Kalkriese was a bit further away than expected. Went to Bielefeld instead and checked out Sparrenburg Castle. Not a huge one, but my first and was still cool.
Good: Today was some more time in Muenster and a cool history museum.
Good: Tomorrow to Dortmund to see my cousin

It's great to read someone's travelling diary. Hope you'll be updating it in Thailand too. I might sign up for the page to comment. Or I'll just bug you occasionally in private

Good: Warm weather. Although it has it's bad side: I have to sleep with an open window, which means I am woken up quite early in the morning by light of dawn and by birds making noise in the trees outside.
Bad: It's not the most pleasant experience being outside between 11 am and 18 pm. Hot hot hot. Although the temperatures dropped a bit today.
Good: Last year in Oslo a friend from another forum took me around for one afternoon. Now she is planning to hitch-hike through Europe and seems she'll be coming here too. She's originally from Oregon, but living in Norway and Poland. Great, I like being a travel guide
Good: Prolonged weekend (Monday is our national holiday) so we can go someplace.

Good: Spent two days in North Hungary in a team building training. It was fun except for the stupid games. There was a swimming pool, so I was swimming my head off, it's pretty good for my back. The food was excellent and we had tons of drinks.

Good: Met Fenrir and had a great weekend. The number of Trollboard-Members I know personally grows and grows.
Bad: A friend just hurt himself badly when we were playing Volleyball. Was taken to the hospital by some other friends. :-/
Good: Semi-finale next Thursday!

Thanks. I will definitely be updating it. I am also keeping a more personal/hand written diary. It is the first time I have done so, and I figured that my travels would be the best thing to start with. You can bug all you want, I will just bug you back.

Good: Yes, damn fine weekend in Leipzig, great host, and the weather was great.
Bad: I only know 1 member of the trollboard personally...
Good: This will change in the near future for sure.
Good/Bad: Good because I am leaving for Thailand to start new adventures and a real job finally. Bad because I am going to miss the hell out of Germany.
