I SHALL BE THERE!

Anyone else?

(What are the odds of Trollhorn playing this one since it's Dec 31st?)

Edit: Oh, in all the excitement I forgot to paste the whole program:

Hm I've been there 2 or 3 years ago (3 I think.. can't even remember :P )
It was a really nice party back then.
Plane ticket is really too expensive for me I'm afraid.

I hate how it's spread out over two days. It's too expensive to stay in Helsinki overnight. Obviously I'll be going on the Finntroll day though, and I'm crossing my fingers that Trollhorn will play!

Ours were around 250 EUR from Vienna, we're going there and back again by train which is another 40 EUR or something.
Plane ticket prices vary a lot depending on the location, firm, the date you choose for travelling, the date you actually order them etc. We just picked the best offer of that second.

Try this hostel:

It's cheap.. really good, and right in the city center.. you can walk to Nosturi!
I loved it!

Erottajanpuisto is just awesome, I agree. We were there 2 years ago and they were great - we were supposed to change hostels in between twice (because we were booking very late when all was taken everywhere for new years), but they went through some trouble for us so not only we didn't need to change the hostel, we didn't even need to change the room. They have my vote anytime.

Aaaaanyway, kituvan_kiitos - see you there! (Daniel Day-Lewis voice) I will find you!
Great :D

I'm so jealous! :D
I would love to go back to Helsinki some day, but the second trip I took to Finland really hurt my bank account and I still haven't recovered sufficiently enough to even consider doing any major travel any time soon.
This sounds like a really cool show (both days actually) that would be completely worth going to if at all possible. :D

But speaking of hostels:
Erottajanpuisto sure has a convenient location! That's so close to everything! Helsinki looks huge on a map, and then you start walking around and realize that everything is actually pretty close together and really accessible by public transport if it's not. I will definitely remember Erottajanpuisto if I ever make it back to Helsinki.
When I was there, my friend and I stayed for an extended period at a summer hostel across the road from Hietaniemi cemetery, which I would also highly recommend. I don't believe it's open for the winter though because it serves as university dorms during the year if I remember correctly. I can't even remember the name either, but the staff there and the quality of the hostel itself was excellent. Plus we had private kitchens and a full bathroom in our room.

FFS, there goes my family- oriented plan for new year´s eve.
I wasn´t supposed to play there, but due to some things I have to step on the stage after all. So, yes, I will be attending but not in the role you´d first imagine. :D
