Great stuff, and yet another blogpost to share with my bandmates. We too are very excited, Sir! :D
Still to this day
I can hear the whistle blow
I can smell the sage burn
I may be as old and stubborn as a pine
But I am just as wild as the young.

Huh hah hei, I finished a song! Normally this wouldn´t be big news but I have 4-5 unfinished ones which made me almost loosing my sleep. :D
Now, after the first song is done from 0 to 100, the curse has been broken and the "bottleneck" crushed. Oh, and it´s a fucking good song too! ^^ Something like two first albums clashing with the newer, more punk/ psycho sound. Folk- punk- psycho- dannyelfman- symphonic- something? Anyway, it sounds refreshing to me, which is good. Not just b- rated leftover safe solutions but REAL DEAL.

I´m starting to heavily think we should fuck metronome and overproducing this time and go for the first 3 album sound. Just for the fuck of it!

He did it already, it's called "Jumalten kaupunki"! But those pirates were still about to dock at that time.

Speaking of pirates, there is something very awesome stuff coming up. :D Or at least that is how it sounded to me and Tundra today. If anyone have played WoW (yes, I know...fucking sue me,ok :D ) they might now that kinda "pirate- inspired Goblin- theme- music" in e.g. Twilight Highlands and such.
We had a 5- hour session today where we actually did vocals and kazoos (!!!) too, and we did 95% complete of a new song from a scratch which sounds incredible! This song, if done right at the studio, will be a sportin´ hit, trust me. :D Yay, I´m so excited! We have now....what, 2 complete songs, a couple of "almost complete", 3- 4 "started but not finished" and shitloads of riffs. I swear this record is going to have the melodies of Nattfödd, the groove of Nifelvind and the aggression of Midnattens Windunder.

I like the sound of influences of Nattfödd, Nifelvind, and Midnattens Widunder. It is going to be a mammoth and epic album,it is good imaging what all the those influences will sound like! :) been following the blog too it is interesting to see how things are developed behind the scenes as it were. In how songs evolve and the whole writing process of music :D

More stuff written: I made a huge post but thought to split it in half and expand it a bit-

This "In between"- post is about the importance of arranging your songs in general:

And the other is more about criticism and feedback.

@Trollhorn, Just for curiosity: usually when you start to think about the intro sound?
