But while we're talking films in general, I personally recommend anything by Darren Aronofsky. That man is a fucking genius. Imho

I've seen only two of his films till now, Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler. I didn't like Requiem for a Dream, but The Wrestler is great. My girlfriend is very curious to see Black Swan so I guess it will be the next one.

Watched catch.44 by Aaron Harvey, starring Bruce Willis and Forest Whitaker.
No. A lame attempt to copy Quentin Tarantino, no more than that. Best thing about this movie is Mr. Whitaker in his role as henchman. But still not worth watching, 4/10.

Not seen Black Swan yet, but seen all his other stuff. 'Requiem for a Dream' is one of my favorite films, and I'm not sure if I could watch 'The Wrestler' again without breaking down in tears, since I used to be a wrestler myself, so that film struck a lot of chords with me.

But if you've not seen 'Pi', watch that, as its a serious mind-fuck... and an ossum film ^^

Master and Commander The Far Side of The Earth, Directed by Peter Weir 2003. A worthy film indeed Russell Crowe plays Jack Aubrey, this shows the journey in pursuit of their enemy well done but a little drawn out here and there authentically done with regard to the overall look of the film. Glad that I have finally seen it though. :)

Coriolanus, directed by and starring Ralph Fiennes.

Adapting the Shakespeare tragedy Coriolanus, and setting it in the now-times, this is a must-see. I am usually not a friend of modern adaptations of classics. This is one of those exceptions. 9/10! There are only very few actors who are so capable of diplaying mortal hatred and anger as Fiennes can - in fact I believe he is No. 1 in that discipline.

Highlander Directed by Russell Mulcahy Have not seen this in a long while, however even after 25 years it is still a really good film. Even with Christopher Lamberts bad Scottish Accent, ;) It still a good story and Clancy Brown makes an excellent villain :!: ...

Just saw 'Ted' at the cinema recently. Funniest film I've ever seen at the cinema. I laughed so hard I nearly passed out.

Totally worth checking out ^^

Saw Kopps. It's a Danish-Swedish comedy about cops. It's very nice.
And Martyrs. It's some kind of mystical thriller, it gets a little boring after a very good start, but it's still brilliant.
And Going Postal. It's awesome, it even made my girlfriend a Terry Pratchett fan. Though she hasn't read any of his books yet.

Troy Directed by Wolfgang Petersen 2004, The classic tale of "Achilles". Choco Block with stars this film, but a lacks a certain something it just appears to be hollow. Want for a better description, visually it is nice vast big shots harking back to the days of Cecil B De Mille ;) I do not dislike this film more over a little disappointed. 5/10 :)

The Machinist Directed by Brad Anderson 2004, This is a very compelling story of the gradual decline of "Trevor Reznik" played brilliantly by Christian Bale. He is very paranoid and as the story unfolds we get more of the back story to the events which take place. The film has a very desaturated which gives it a clinical look, which adds to the story. 8/10 :D

Arn: Knight Templar Directed by Peter Flinth 2008, The story is placed in the early middle ages. Around the crusades, it incorporates a romance placed with history. Really liked it the photography in this film wonderful very rich, and a really good cast too! 9/10 :D
